A photograph has the power to do more than transport us back in time, but to allow us to embody the feelings and sensations of a moment that has now passed. As a photographer, I have found myself continually drawn to this power of storytelling uniquely constructed through the lens of a camera. Born with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears, this aspect of my identity has shaped my artistic vision, instilling in me a hyperawareness and sensitivity that I channel into my photography. I see the world with an acute focus, capturing moments that might otherwise be overlooked and helping us all find beauty in the nuances of everyday life.

Based in San Diego, California, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of subjects. My work includes traditional portraiture, candid shots, photoshoots of children, couples, or families, explorations into fashion, and capturing other art forms such as dancers. I am particularly drawn to documenting life in its most authentic forms, embracing movement and the natural flow of life. My compositions, plays of light and color, often share my detailed focus to direct the viewer’s attention to share and illuminate the vivacity of my subjects. 

Within my work is a commitment to making the experience of a photoshoot accessible and inclusive. I strive to create a safe space where everyone feels seen. I build on my experience working with children and individuals with disabilities to create an enjoyable environment and strive to create a place for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to tell their stories, and, with American Sign Language (ASL) as my first language, I can aid others with hearing loss through the creative process.

Each image is a testament to the embodiment, acceptance, and empowerment of identity. Through my lens, I aim to celebrate the diversity of human experience, capturing both the extraordinary moments we want to preserve but also the beauty in what we mistake for mundane, appreciating the richness of life in all its forms.
